Oceania Healings is a three-prong holistic approach to supporting QTPI individuals, victims, survivors, and their families/support networks through cultural healing practices, case management, and awareness education.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALING

Before Western medicine, traditional healing practices throughout Oceania sustained Pacific Islander communities. This program aims to return to traditional healing practices and provide for our community in the areas that Western medicine continues to fail. This program will focuses on both, individual and group healing sessions.

Individual healing sessions include massage, herbal medicine, and conflict resolution by traditional practitioners. Group healing sessions include food, song, and dance.

PEER SUPPORT SERVICES

Participants are supported by staff with lived experience to understand, advocate, and guide you through your healing journeys.

Peer Support Services include supporting you through your progress and setbacks, issuing/coordinating individual healing services or additional supportive services, and collaborating on minimizing barriers.

This type of support includes but is not limited to financial assistance, scholarships, and employment readiness training. Peer Support Specialists can also refer participants to partnering organizations for additional resources.

Translation services and language access will be prioritized to ensure participant success.

AWARENESS & EDUCATION

Through outreach events, tabling, podcasts, and remote Talanoa ("talking story") sessions we aim to educate and learn with our community in a non-intimidating environment that aligns with our cultural practices.
