WinterHawks Pacific Islander Night!

Come celebrate Pacific Islander Heritage Night with us on January 30th, 2026 at the Memorial Coliseum! It’s Portland WinterHawks versus Wenatchee Wild Wolves competing on ice for three, twenty minute rounds with potential overtime. We’ll have a table so be sure to visit our table to say hi and get some freebies!

Lei Hilo & Kaula Workshop

Missed out on our weaving workshops last year? Join us for our Lei Hilo & Kaula Workshop with Kaina & Kawika!!

Together on February 21st, from 12pm-3pm we'll be gathering with community to work with lā'i, lauhala, coconut, blackberry, and cedar materials.

Weaving is more than a creation of a physical item, but a bond of cultural wisdom & community. We encourage QTPI's and allies to join us in reconnecting with our Pasifika culture in diaspora.

PSU’s Pacific Islander Day!

With excitement for the annual PSU Pacific Islander Day, we’re proud to announce that Pasifika students will gather for a day of cultural celebration, career readiness workshops, and more on Friday, February 20th, 2026! UTOPIA PDX will join and host a space for QTPI youth from across the state via our workshop(s) with PSU’s Pacific Islander Day.

Rooted & Rising Mākeke

Our first mākeke was only the beginning for UTOPIA PDX, we’re beyond excited to announce that the process for planning the next mākeke event has begun! Rooted & Rising celebrates being grounded and growing into the new spring season being well rested, inspired, & ready to gather with community both indoors and outdoors again.
