Community Surveys
We at UTOPIA PDX have fostered relationships with community partners, funders, and more. Together we’re collaborating to gather more accurate information of QTPI & QTBIPOC people in Oregon. Surveys details and incentives are listed below. Survey incentives may vary but are not limited to gift cards, prizes, and more. Some surveys do not include an incentive.
Pride In Numbers
Data with heart, stories with power.
Pride in Numbers is a community-led, statewide research project by and for Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ people across Oregon.
It’s research by us, for us.
From healthcare to housing, safety to belonging, Pride in Numbers is creating a powerful portrait of Two-Spirit and LGBTQIA+ life in Oregon. The data and stories we gather will be shared back with the community, so our advocates, community organizations, and organizers – each of us – can build the programs, services, mutual aid networks, and policies we deserve and dream of.
UTOPIA PDX is proudly partnering with Pride in Numbers for statewide Two-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ representation in data research for the state of Oregon. Together we’ll uplift the lived experiences of Two-Spirit & LGBTQIA+ people in Oregon and push for real world change. Queer Trans Pacific Islanders (QTPI’s) are typically overlooked in research data and or are considered the least researched in comparison to other racial demographics.
We as QTPI’s, fa’afafine, māhū, manmaloa’an, and other queer Pasifika identities alike encourage our community to participate in the Pride in Numbers research survey in efforts to change the narrative of our people being persistently overlooked in data due to having a lower population of Pacific Islanders. It’s up to us to share our stories and input in research projects, local government, and more in order for us to secure our place here in diaspora.
